Mrs. Smith went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 28, 2021. She is survived by her husband of 76 years, Rev. Baswell Smith-Ordained Bishop in the Church of God, formerly of Leesburg now of Ocala, FL. She was the loving mother of seven children: Daughters: Mrs. Wanda Smith Flavell; Mrs. Patricia Smith Reeves; and Frances Smith Peel (deceased). Sons: Earl S. Smith; Sterling W. Smith; Stewart E. Smith and Marcus E. Smith. She had numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren who loved and will miss her.
As the wife of a minister, she graced many congregations as a ministry partner with her husband throughout the state of Florida. She was known of her hospitality, gracious manor, and her jelly was legendary! She will be greatly missed by friends and family.
A viewing will be held Wednesday, March 31, from 6-8pm at Beyers Funeral Home Chapel in Leesburg, Florida. A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 1 at 10am also at Beyers Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Tavares Cemetery.
