Michael George Bechek (91) of Gibsonia, PA, passed away at UFHealth Leesburg Hospital in Leesburg, FL on February 14, 2021. He was born August 19, 1929 in Johnstown, PA.
Mike is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Elfrieda Sadowsky Bechek and his sons, David Bechek (Virginia) of Gibsonia, PA and Darrin Bechek (Lisa) of Coraopolis, PA. He is also blessed with grandchildren, Daniel, Jordan, Andrew and Sarah. He is also survived by his sisters, Dorothy Speicher, Mary Williams and Betty Holstein. Mike was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, John.
Mike was a member of Berkeley Hills Lutheran Church in Pittsburgh, PA and also was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He served the nation in the U.S. Army. He also had a life career as an order specialist and computer tech for the Westinghouse Corp. He loved buying and selling cars. He also enjoyed a good game of golf. He is known for being a man one would remember after meeting him. Known for his wit, Mike was full of fun and enjoyed getting to know others. He has left many memories and will be sorely missed.
Mike will be laid to rest at the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Allegheny County, PA at a time to be determined.
