Glenn Stephens, 94, of Clermont, FL, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2021. He was born in Brewster, Florida to Carl and Claudie (Powell) Stephens.
He was a member of UMC of Webster. He was a southern Baptist and started his ministry career at FBC of Webster in 1952. He also taught school at Mascotte Elementary and he worked 28 years with the State of Florida Correctional Institute as the Supervisor of Education. He was a member of the Florida Retired Educators Association. Glenn enjoyed visiting with family and friends, listening to gospel music, writing stories and tinkering with electronics and computers.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Mildred Stephens of Clermont, FL; daughters: Linda ("Buddy") Davis Giddens of Clermont, FL, Elizabeth (Gary) Revels of Webster, FL; son: Thomas (Sharon) Stephens of Groveland, FL; step-daughters: Diane (Horace) Roe of Naples, FL, Martha Bantz of Naples, FL; step-son David (Michelle) Weeks of Naples, FL; 22 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers Paul Stephens and Charles Stephens. He was preceded in death by his former wife Dorothy Ganey, son Timothy Stephens; brothers: Marion Stephens, Daniel Stephens and sisters: Paula Sheffield and Helen Young.

A service will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. (with visitation from 10:00 to 11:00) at Purcell Chapel, with Pastor David Cheek and Pastor Keith Johnson officiating. Interment will follow the service at Garden of Memories, Webster, Florida.
