Obituary for Helen Rosa DeMeo

Helen DeMeo, 101, of Eustis, Florida, passed away September 6, 2020. She was born in East Orange, New Jersey, on July 11, 1919. Helen moved from New Jersey to Florida in 1952. She worked for People’s National Bank of Miami for 33 years, and rose to Vice-President. Later in life, Helen moved to Eustis, Florida, and joined the St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church.

Warm and outgoing, Helen made friends wherever she went and was beloved by all who knew her. She was an excellent cook, and anyone who visited her was immediately invited to sit at her dining table and “mangia.”

Helen was devoted to her family and is survived by her sister Mildred DeMeo, nieces and nephews including James DeMeo, Terry DeMeo, Anthony Hallberg, Mike Hallberg, Rick Hallberg, Mary Kinney, Maureen Thynell, Nicholas Vitterite, and many grand and great-grandnieces and nephews. We are all blessed and deeply grateful to have had Helen touch our lives.

A commitment service at graveside will be held Friday, September 18, at 11:00 am, Florida Memorial Gardens in Rockledge, Florida.
