Obituary for Miriam Rose Federspiel

Miriam Rose Federspiel
Miriam R. Federspiel passed away peacefully on August 29, 2020, at the age of 93. Her devoted husband and love of 67 years, John, passed in 2017. Miriam was the loving mother of daughter Miriam (David) Weinberger, and son John (Judith) Federspiel, and loving grandmother of Gregory Federspiel and Andrew Federspiel. She was preceded in death by brother Charles and was much beloved “Aunt Mir” to several nieces and nephews.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Miriam graduated from the Frankford Hospital School of Nursing and worked in acute care at both Frankford and Jeanes hospitals. She retired after several years as nursing supervisor at Immaculate Mary Center for Rehabilitation and Health Care. Colleagues referred to her as a 'nurse's nurse', dedicated to her patients and extraordinarily compassionate.
Miriam and husband John retired to The Villages, Florida, for nearly 30 years. She was an active volunteer for her church and charitable groups and especially enjoyed the frequent visits of family and friends to their home. Miriam will forever be remembered for her caring nature and beautiful smile. Her faith, loving heart and commitment to excellence guided her life. She brought humor and a positive outlook to everyone she touched. A memorial service and interment of both Miriam's and John’s cremains will take place in Philadelphia at a later date due to Covid and the dispersal of family throughout the country.
Arrangements entrusted to Beyers Funeral Home and Crematory, Lady Lake, FL. Online condolences may be left at www.BeyersFuneralHome.com
