Obituary for Mary Wexler

Mary  Wexler
Mary Theresa Wexler (67) of Grand Island, FL passed away in her home after a courageous battle with cancer on July 1, 2020. She was born May 18, 1953 in New York, New York.

Mary is survived by her dear husband of 24 years, Bob Wexler; her children, Tara Summers of Fleming Island, FL, Brian Kurta (Christine) of Utah, Chris Edwards (Coleen) of Rock Hill, NY, Jennifer Wood (Willis)
of Pine Bush, NY and Robert Wexler Jr. of S. Florida; She was also blessed with 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Mary is also survived by her siblings, Martin Callinan (Linda), Stephen Callinan (Eileen), Peggy Modelson (Andy) and Kevin Callinan along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mary was a member of St. Mary of the Lakes Church, the Anna Miller Society of the Elks and also the Trout Lake Nature Center. Mary loved the outdoors. One of her favorite pastimes was bird-watching. She also enjoyed cruising and traveling with Bob. She was one of the most compassionate, positive, happy ladies ever. She loved
helping others and seeking for their happiness.

There will be a visitation and prayer service at Beyers Funeral Home, 279 S. Central Avenue in Umatilla, FL on July 6 from 6:00-8:00 pm and a funeral mass will be conducted at 10:00 am on July 7 at St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church, 218 Ocklawaha Avenue in Eustis, FL.

Friends and family are strongly urged to wear masks for the protection of everyone. There will be a live streaming of the mass for those who cannot attend. There will be a link on this obituary. Mary will be buried at a future time in New York.
