He was preceded in death by his wife: Betty Kathleen Bullock, son: Gibson L. "Buster" Bullock, son-in-law: James "Jimbo" Hickman, grandchildren: Charles John Bullock and Angela Marie Bullock, brother: Clinton Bullock, and sister: Laverne Edwards.

His family was his passion. He married Betty Kathleen Higginbotham in 1953 and the love they shared made all five of their children know the meaning of unconditional love and acceptance. His grandchildren and his great-grandchildren were his pride and joy. All of the grandchildren knew "Grandpa" or "Great Great" was their number one fan. All were welcome in his house and treated with respect. Every visit at his house made one feel just a little more loved.

He was a proud military veteran serving during the Korean conflict. He loved the USA with all his being. He loved the outdoors. He appreciated a good joke and could easily give a one-liner that was both humorous and thought provoking. He could leave one speechless and laughing at the same time.

For those he leaves here- he will be missed so much. Yet, it is known it is his time to go be with those who have gone before him. He did his best for all here. His legacy lives on in all who love him.

Daddy, Grandpa, Great-Great, Bunk, Uncle Bunk, Uncle Charles, Charlie, Charles - we will miss you but we will honor you by the lessons you and Mama taught all. We will be OK over time. We will always remember 'catching a tornado with a bag', 'watching tv', 'nine easy lessons', 'watching a polar bear in a snowstorm' and many more. We will think of these and smile. We love you forever.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at 2:00 pm at the Purcell Funeral Home, 114 W. Noble Ave., Bushnell. Visitation will be from 1-2 pm prior to the service. All are invited to attend military honors for Mr. Bullock after the service at 3 pm at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Bushnell.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be given to your local HOSPICE group.
