Obituary for Daniel Eugene Davis

Daniel Eugene Davis, 68, of Sumterville, Florida, passed away on June 2nd, 2020, surrounded by his family and friends.

He was born to parents Jack and Lucille Davis, on December 15th, 1952, in Salem Florida. The 3rd child out of 9. At the age of 17 Daniel joined the United States Army with his parents’ consent. Afterwards he worked as a carpenter and later founded a successful construction company that he ran for many years.

Daniel married his “Baby Doll”, Debbie, in 1974 who survives him. He is also survived by daughter Danielle (Tommy) Helms of Tavares, Joshua Davis of Sumterville, and Daniel Cody Davis (Kayla) of Lady Lake, as well as his grandchildren David Helms, Owen Davis, and Ava Davis.

Daniel was well known for his charming personality and many people will remember him for the wealth of knowledge he imparted. He had a vast influence on everyone that knew him. Most importantly Daniel will be remembered for the love and faithfulness that he bound around his neck and had written on the tablet of his heart.

A service will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. (with visitation from 12:30 to 1:30) at Silo Oaks, 4103 CR 526, Sumterville, FL.
