Obituary for Ruth Eileen Lowmaster

Ruth Eileen Lowmaster
Ruth Eileen Lowmaster of Spruce Creek, Summerfield, Florida went home to be with the Lord Jesus on May 12, 2020 at 84 years of age. She was born in Youngstown, Ohio on July 11, 1935, the daughter of Calvin Vestal and Hazel (Corfman) Vestal and had a brother James.
She attended nursing school becoming an LPN and took up nursing at Northside Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio and later worked at the Salem Community Hospital in Salem, Ohio. Afterwards she used her LPN skills working at Gateways To Better Living.
She met Daniel Lowmaster from Rossiter, PA. On July 11, 1956 they were united in marriage. To this union were born 4 children. They lived in Canfield, Ohio retiring to Florida in 1994.
She was faithful in church attendance all of her life and read her Bible daily, often encouraging others to remember to pray. She was a member at Fairway Christian Church at the Villages,FL.
She was an avid reader. She loved to sing and was at one time singing in 3 different groups at the same time, including the Golden Notes of Spruce Creek and her church choir as well as a barbershop quartet, the Belle Chords. She liked to swim and was a regular at the pool at Spruce Creek, attending exercise classes at the pool as well, where she has been seen doing more chatting than exercising.
She was admired for her always upbeat, cheerful personality and humor. She was reluctant to ever say anything bad about anyone, rather, choosing to come to the defense of others and look for the good in people. A bright light in our lives has gone out. We love you and will miss you always.
She was preceded to heaven by her parents and her brother. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Daniel Lowmaster; her daughters Phyllis Hassani of Charlotte, NC and Joy Fyock of Reynoldsville, PA; sons Jerald Lowmaster of Youngstown, OH and Scott Lowmaster of Ocala, FL; and two grandchildren, Jake and Cole Fyock. We’ll see you in a little while Mom. Memorial services will be held at a later date at Fairway Christian Church in the Villages, FL, due to covid 19 restrictions.
