Ronald Burdett Cressman (72) of Altoona, FL passed away at the Advent Health Hospital Waterman in Tavares, FL March 18, 2020. He was born June 28, 1947 in Norristown, PA.

Ron is survived by his dear wife of 45 years, Gail P. Walton Cressman; His son Scott Kerr of Paisley, FL; His daughters Lorie Kerr of Astor, FL, Sonjia Kerr (Danny Carelock) of Eustis, FL and Sarah Rose Cressman of Wesley Chapel, FL. He was also blessed with grandchildren Jessica Dionne, Karie Dionne, Lane Ronald Freeman, Miah Freeman, Justin Kerr, Trevor Kerr, Dominique Kerr and Luke Palmer Cressman. Further, he is survived by great-grandchildren Kali and Kinley Fury; brother Jimmy Cressman; sister Jean Philips; and life-long best friend George Wilkins of Hawaii. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Eddie Norris and Frank Cressman and his sister Jennie Cressman.
Ron was a man of ability and character. He had many trades and talents. He was an expert carpenter. He ran a harvest and delivery business delivering plants, flowers and accessories to many florists. He was most recently an over the road truck driver. Ron loved artistic painting, fishing, dancing, woods riding and bird watching. He was a reader with a large library, primarily of history and politics and he loved to talk about them. He was charming and polite, making everyone smile, yet he had a perfect combination of being able to teach serious principles of life. He will be sorely missed.
There will be a graveside service for Ron at the Hinson Cemetery in Altoona, FL on Tuesday, March 24 at 11:00 AM.
