Leesburg, Florida — Harold Ray Slater, 90, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2020, following a struggle with several illnesses.

He is survived by his best friend and devoted wife of 65 years, Marian Slater, who was by his side at his passing.
As the leader of a wonderful and devoted family, he is survived by 5 Children, Andrew, Nancy, Daniel, Robert, Janet and Grand Children, Rachel, Joshua, Catherine, and Bailey, along with Great Grandchildren, Zachary, Emily, Bradley, Reeves, Anna and Riley.
He was born and raised on the family farm in Follansbee, West Virginia in 1929, the son of August and Virginia Slater also from Follansbee.
Harold served our country proudly during the Korean War where he was stationed in Germany during his years of service.
A funeral service will be held on February 19, 2020 at 11:00 am at the First Christian Church of Leesburg, 701 Vine Street, Leesburg, FL 34748. The family asks, in lieu of flowers, donations be given to First Christian Church of Leesburg.
