Rae Davidson (67) of Citrus Springs, FL suddenly passed away January 12, 2020 in Inverness, FL. She was born December 8, 1952 in Toledo, Ohio.

Rae is survived by her son Troy (Elizabeth) Brehmer of Toledo, OH and her daughter Alysia (Sean) Hanlon of Leesburg, FL. She was also greatly blessed with her grandchildren, Shallan, Connor, Maddison and Ryan. She was preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Henrietta Davidson and her sister, Andrea Philo. She is also survived by family in Ohio and Indiana.
Rae’s deep passion for abandoned and wounded animals came into fruition when she established the organization, German Shepherd Rescue of Central Florida. Her care was not limited to the one dog breed, but she cared for many different species of animals over the time of the Rescue’s operation. She also had plenty of time and care left over for her grandchildren whom she loved deeply. She will also always be remembered for her incredible abilities in the kitchen as a cook.
There will be a memorial service celebrating her life at Beyers Funeral Home Chapel at 1123 W. Main St in Leesburg, FL on Monday, January 20. There will be a gathering from 10:00 to 11:00 AM with a service following at 11:00 AM. Pastor Mike Matheny will be officiating.
