Dennis Lee Toy, 75 of The Villages, FL, passed away suddenly on Monday, November 11, 2019 at his home. He was married to the former Cathie Stephan in 1976 in Franklin. Denny was born in Oil City, PA in 1944 to Lee Roy and Frances (Bialy) Toy. He was a 1962 graduate of Oil City High School and after graduation enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. Upon his discharge in 1966, he went to work at Joy Manufacturing until retirement in 2002 in the Computer Department.

In 2004, they purchased a home in Florida and were snowbirds until 2017 when they moved permanently. He enjoyed playing on a softball team in Oil City until he decided he better find an easier sport and took up golf and bowling. Denny really enjoyed his trips to Vegas golfing with his Pennsylvania buddies and just recently returned from Vegas. He also enjoyed his time with the gang at Wanango Country Club and would play a few rounds when visiting Franklin. He was also known to be in a card game every morning at the Elks Club. He was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Wildwood, FL.

He is survived by his wife Cathie, a sister, two brother-in laws, a sister-in-law, a niece, nephew, five great nieces and nephews. Denny also had three special girls in his life; Alexis, Jozlin and Sadie Ziegler.

Dear Cathie and family,
My condolences on your recent loss of a great guy. I golfed with Denny in Va. once and we had a blast. I was amazed at how he always had a smile and a story for me even when he was in obvious pain. I truly appreciated the wisdom he would wrap into those jovial stories.
With sympathy,
Ken 'Teke' Brannon
