Ruth Margaret Howard, 94, of The Villages, died Saturday, October 12, 2019 in her home. She was born November 4th, 1924 in Aldershot, Southampton, England. Mrs. Howard attended Clarks College in England. She moved to Elyria, Ohio then to Leesburg, Florida in 1954. She bowled in the Leesburg Women's Bowling Association and was their Secretary Treasurer for several years. She was a member of the Leesburg Lionesses Club and also belonged to the Legal Secretaries. Mrs. Howard was a Legal Secretary for Gordon G. Oldham Jr. in his private practice, as well as his years as the State Attorney for the Fifth Judicial Circuit. Her husband of 61 years, Arthur A. Howard, predeceased her in death. She is survived by her son, Andre' P. Howard of The Villages and her daughter, Pauline M.S. Edmondson of Fruitland Park; six grandchildren, Tod Howard (Ginger), Chrissi Howard Witkosky, Niki Howard Batt (Ed), Heather Edmondson, Chad Edmondson, Lindsey Edmondson Prato (Peter) and twelve great-grandchildren, Sebastian, Ashton, Bradyn, Jordyn, Dylan, Bryce, Thomas, Adaline, Celia, Dominic, Hadley and Harrison. Nephews Collin and Dale Tilby. Private services will be held by the family at a later date.
