Rose Margaret (Wimer) Cole, 78, of Fruitland Park, FL passed away at home on August 30, 2019. She was born in Altoona, Pennsylvania to the late Margaret Mary (Wills) Wimer and Arthur Bernard Wimer. She spent her early years as an Army brat living as far away as Japan. In 1959, she graduated from Rancocas Valley Regional High School in Mt Holly, NJ. As a young adult she settled in New Jersey and then Pennsylvania. In the early 80s she was a volunteer firefighter and EMT for the Edinboro Fire Department in PA before moving to Fruitland Park to help care for her aging parents. She spent many years as a server at local restaurants and always met customers with a warm smile and a wonderful sense of humor. That sense of humor persisted even until her very last day, joking with doctors and nurses who cared for her.
