Helen “Carol” Marsh, 81, of Leesburg, FL passed away, Thursday, August 8, 2019. Carol was born in Swords Creek, VA on March 30, 1938. After some college studies, she worked in the telephone industry, first as a telephone operator. She later became a chief operator and then, a Software service manager. Carol also obtained her license as a private pilot. After retirement, Carol and her husband, Ed traveled the world. Carol had a doll collection from every country they visited. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and also, an active member of the First Baptist Church of Leesburg. In 2010, the Marsh’s moved to Lake Port Square in Leesburg where she volunteered as a Marketing Ambassador. She also loved playing Hand and Foot with her friends and neighbors.

Carol is survived by her husband of 37 years, Ed; her stepchildren, Charles (Jacqueline) Marsh of Dallas, TX and Joseph Marsh of Grapevine, TX; She was also blessed with two step-grandchildren, Cameron and Rachel Marsh; She is also survived by her sister, Shirley Sutton of Charlotte, NC, sister Ruth (Arnold) Bochovan of Charlotte, NC, sister Sue (Carl) Lefler of Charlotte, NC and brothers, Jerry Church of Charlotte, NC. and Danny Church, Johnstown, PA. She was predeceased by her parents and 3 brothers.
Visitation for Carol will be on Wednesday, August 14 from 9:00 – 10:00AM with a service at 10:00 AM at Beyers Funeral Home Chapel in Leesburg, FL. Reverend Gary Blanchard will officiate.
