Obituary for Kimiko T. Dolan

Kimiko T. Dolan
Kimiko Dolan, age 88, of The Villages, FL joined the angels on Sunday, June 30, 2019.
Born February 24, 1931 in Seoul, Korea to the late Yoshio Nakayama and Setsuko (Yoshida) Nakayama. She grew up in Seoul, Korea, and later in Japan with her brother and three sisters. She married an American, George Dolan, who was a sergeant in the Air Force, in 1955. Soon afterward, they moved to the United States, where they raised a family. After her husband’s death, she relocated to Hawaii, where she was a computer operator for the U.S. Army. Upon retirement, she moved to the Villages, where she happily pursued her hobbies (entertaining, cooking, baking, sewing, gardening, and power walking), surrounded by the neighbors she considered to be her extended family.

She was the best mother in the world to her daughter, Kathleen, of Arlington VA, who survives her. She leaves behind two sisters in Japan, as well as several nieces and nephews, and their families.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 5, 2019 at 3:00 pm with a gathering from 2:00 to 3:00 pm prior to the service at Beyers Funeral Home, 134 North Highway 27/441, Lady Lake, FL.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Kimiko to the National LeioMyoSarcoma Foundation (https://nlmsf.org/donate-leiomyosarcoma-research/).
