Arean James Joyner, “AJ” age 20, born on May 20, 1998 from Leesburg, FL passed away early Sunday morning on March 3, 2019. A.J. attended Tavares High School, and graduated from Leesburg High School, Class of 2017. He was currently working as a plumber’s helper for Ross’s Plumbing Service Company for the past nineteen months. He enjoyed spending time with his close friends and family on weekends, listening to music, engaging in sports such as basketball and football, and enjoyed playing video games on his PlayStation4. A.J. was well known for his warm personality, quick wit and sense of humor. He loved laughter.

He is survived by his mother, Jennifer Goddard and step- father Willie Brown, Leesburg, FL; his father Jamie Joyner of Eustis, FL; four brothers: Donaven Owens, Keith Floyd, Eric Grady, Leesburg, FL; and Jamie Joyner, Jr., Eustis, FL.; one sister, Ja’Myriah Joyner, Eustis, FL, and step-sister Kwanza Floyd.
He was also survived by maternal grandparents: Raleigh Joe and Rita Goddard, Leesburg, FL; maternal great-grandmother: Jeanette Merritt, Leesburg, FL; paternal grandmother: Patricia Bostic, Eustis, FL. AJ was also survived by his girlfriend: Breanna Everett, Bushnell, FL. and many cousins.
Funeral arrangements will be as follows- a wake service on Friday, March 8, 2019 from 5-7 p.m. and service on Saturday, March 9, 2019 starting at 12 Noon at Beyers Funeral Home Chapel, 1123 W. Main St., Leesburg, FL 34748. Funeral procession will follow to the Lone Oak Cemetery, also in Leesburg.
